The Planning Commission’s primary role, as its name implies, is to plan. A Planning Commission is a body of citizens and two Board of Trustees that serve within local government, acting as an advisory group to the Board of Trustees on issues and policies related to planning, land use regulation, and community development. Planning Commissioners act as citizen planners and work to develop plans and implementation policies that affect how their community manages changes in growth and development. 

Meeting Information

The Planning & Zoning Commission will be providing their board meetings from the Board Room at Town Hall. Seating is open to the public.  Although the meetings are open to the public, community comments will only be taken during the public comment sections of a hearing.  The public is encouraged and welcome to attend these meetings. If you cannot attend these meetings, however, we invite you to participate via the Join Live Meetings link on the main page.

Regular Meetings -2nd Tuesday of each month (when there is a scheduled item)

Community members can email comments by sending an email by 4:00p.m. the day of the meeting to the Town Clerk at clerk@wigginsco.gov, emails received by 4:00 p.m. will be read into the minutes.   Emails must contain name, address, and topic/question.

REGULAR MEETINGS: 

You will need to clearly state your name and address prior to addressing the board.  You will have 3 minutes to state your concerns.

PUBLIC HEARING SESSIONS: 

ALL public hearing sessions built within a Regular Meeting will allow the public to address the Commissioners during the hearing's designated time.
